The Pinar de Barbate Nature Reserve is the second largest coastal reserve in Andalucía. Beautiful woods of umbrella pines with rosemary, blackthorn and palms, and rocky cliffs overlooking the Atlantic coast make up the entire park. It is one of the best-preserved parts of the Andalusian coast, a Barbate - Costa de la Luznd hundreds of tourists and residents visit the area year after year. There are well located picnic benches near the roads - but wander further for a secluded spot.

Barbate also boasts 25 kilometres of some of the most spectacular beaches along the Coast of Light. From wide, flat golden beaches to the Los Caños de Meca beach with high cliffs and fresh water springs.
