the heart of the Alcornacales Nature Park
Apart from being just a stone's throw away from some of the most spectacular beaches on the Costa de la Luz, Facinas is in the heart of the Alcornacales Nature Park. This park covers an area of 170,025 hectares of land, and is one of the world's largest cork oak forests. It is made up of a series of low mountain ranges, and contains more sandstone than limestone. The park itself is an important centre for ecological, rural and educational tourism.
