The Nature Park of La Bahia de Cádiz is only a few kilometres inland, and is one of the most spectacular nature parks in the south of Spain. It was declared as such in 1989, and covers approximately 10,000 hectares of land. Its special ecological characteristics are a consequence of its closeness to the ocean.

Novo Sancti Petri has a stunning coastline, with spectacular beaches such as La Barrosa or Sancti Petri. La Barrosa beach is 8km long, and was granted the blue flag by the Clean Beaches of Europe. It is considered one of the best beaches on the Andalusian coast, thanks to its fine sand, crystal clear water and its beautiful dunes and cliffs. The first stretch of La Barrosa is mostly built up, whereas the second stretch has managed to remain practically unspoiled.
